A dual Swedish-American citizen, now based in New York, Håkan Wohlin is a veteran of the financial services sector; carrying over 30 years of senior experience across a range of international organisations, including Deutsche Bank. Long before he launched his own advisory firm, KingsRock Advisors, as a fully-fledged entrepreneur, Håkan led a successful career in the finance and banking industry. He is a recognised professional in many financial services areas, earning an industry-wide reputation globally. Indeed, it is thanks to Håkan’s long-term career development that, today, KingsRock Advisors is in a position to offer a high-quality advisory service across industry sectors.

Håkan Wohlin graduated from Stockholm University in 1999 with an MSc in business administration and finance. He also undertook graduate economic classes at Harvard University. Shortly thereafter, Håkan was climbing the ranks at the global investment bank, securities trading and brokerage firm Bear Stearns, in New York, before he embarked on an entrepreneurial role as the EVP of the US-based international software company Corechange.

After Corechange was sold in 2002, Håkan’s career hit a new stride, as he took up his first posting at Deutsche Bank, based in London. By 2010, he would become the bank’s Global Head of Debt Origination, after having served as Head of European Capital Markets. During his time at Deutsche Bank, Håkan achieved a number of career milestones: he served as the lead banker for the largest ever debt-restructuring deal during the Greek debt crisis. In any given year, he would manage a business with 40-50+ Managing Directors based in about 30 countries, either directly or in a matrix organization, a number one ranked franchise that was managing   thousands of transactions for close to 1000 different corporate, financial and public sector clients. 

As part of serving clients of KingsRock Advisors, Håkan Wohlin engages in a range of advisory roles. Via one such assignment, he also works closely with the Grace & Mercy Foundation. Håkan was previously on the board and vice Chairman at the ICMA (International Capital Markets Association) in Switzerland, and a Trustee at the well-known Kent School in CT, US.

Håkan holds the FINRA SIE, Series 82, Series 79 and Series 63 qualifications. He is also a registered representative of Réva Capital Markets LLC, a registered broker dealer, and a member of FINRA & SIPC.
